Take my blog for example. One of the most important elements for me when it comes to branding my blog is the fonts.

I am using the same font all across the blog, including in the featured image text of each blog entry, especially since I am using these images on Pinterest to promote the blog posts. The same applies if you are using Pinterest to drive traffic to your blog.

Another important element in branding your blog is the color or color palette. I like to keep it simple, that’s why I chose only light green as the dominant color, along with neutrals as black, white and grey.

This will keep the content easy to be read, as opposed to many colors, which usually make the content look cluttered.

Along with fonts and colors, visuals are the most important aspect of any brand. I try to use my own photos as often as I can and the dominant theme in all of the theme is nature or natural elements, such as plants, food, etc.

This is something that represents me and I will always be able to produce nice visuals, regardless of where I am. When using pictures to create featured images for each blog post, I use a couple of templates from Canva.

Basically I keep the exact same format, I just change the text and the background. This way, all my visuals will look good when placed next to each other on Pinterest.

I hope this will help you in learning how to brand a blog if you are considering creating your own blog.
